Abstract

ρ 0 meson production in the pp → ppπ +π - reaction at 3.67 GeV/c was investigated. Total and differential cross sections of the ρ 0 production in proton-proton reactions were measured at ε = 0.33 GeV. Results showed that the total meson production cross section was (23.4±0.8±8) μb. It was found to be lower than typical cross sections used in model calculations for heavy-ion collisions.
