Barrett's adenocarcinoma in a patient with acquired immune deficiency syndrome

Abstract

Although esophageal disease is common in patients with the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), esophageal neoplasms have rarely been described. Herein we report the case of a patient with AIDS and esophageal symptoms who was found to have adenocarcinoma of the esophagus associated with Barrett's esophagus.
