Abstract

Endoscopic treatment plays a crucial role in properly selected patients with chronic pancreatitis (CP). This aims to relieve pain and treat complications of CP, including pancreatic duct (PD) strictures, PD stones, pseudocysts, and PD leaks. Furthermore, endoscopic intervention of CP provides a bridging therapy in patients who undergo surgery. In this chapter, we review the clinical application of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for treating PD strictures, PD stones, and pancreatic pseudocysts in patients with CP.
