Abstract

Although CBCT has existed for over two decades, its full potential is still being explored. CBCT offers a number of advantages for dental and maxillofacial imaging, including affordable cost, higher resolution, more versatile imaging, reduced radiation exposure, and a relatively compact machine. The case reports described in this article demonstrate the advantages of the combined CBCT-sialogram. Many disease processes can affect the salivary glands, and using a CBCT in conjunction with a sialogram can help to diagnose and treat patients with these conditions.
