Abstract

Pain is common in patients with advanced bladder cancer. It frequently has a variety of causes, is insidious in onset, is chronic, is difficult to quantify, and carries an important psychological component. Careful evaluation, specific treatment, and continuous reassessment will result in satisfactory control in almost all patients.
