Abstract

Although large gaps in knowledge remain, in the past few years our understanding of the cell of origin, pathology, clinical biology, cellular kinetics, natural history, and clinical management of patients with SCC has improved. In this article, the authors will concentrate on the major advance being made in therapy - the attachment of complete responses. The authors will also review selected future prospects.
