Abstract

The effect of various concentrations of lasalocid on Tl-201 thallous chloride biodistribution in rats was investigated. Tl-201 activity increased in the blood and decreased in the heart and lungs in lasalocid treated rats. The effect of the lasalocid was dose-related. Partition coefficients were performed on lasalocid mixtures alone and in the presence of potassium. In the presence of lasalocid, an increased Tl-201 chloroformrwater partition coefficient was found, which was unaffected by the sequential addition of potassium in increasing concentrations.
