Yrast band in doubly-odd Eu138

A rotational band, showing both signature components with a small energy splitting, has been identified in the doubly-odd Eu138 nucleus via the Mo92(50Cr,3pn) reaction. Both - and -n coincidence studies were employed. Comparisons with the lighter Pm136, Pr134, and La132 isotones suggest a h11/2h11/2 structure.
